by Mark Victor
September 29, 2007
As in the Morris Daily Herald this past week, clean-up after the flood damage started with 21 students who met Mr. Victor at the Village Hall and were then transported around the Village with 8 IDOT Trucks and a Bull Dozer to pickup flood damaged materials from residents in town. Some of the pictures that you will see in the slide show are the students picking up materials and taking a picture with the bull dozer from IDOT.
Students recognized for their assistance with this were:
Cari Applebee, Matt Baker, Stephen Bleifield, Erick Bodett, Josh Brockman, Micah Carrier, Tyler Ferguson, Amy Gumm, Liz Higgins, Trevor Jackson, David Lowery, Mark Madison, Alaina Marik, Donnie McCord, Matt Musser, Luke Ortegal, Elizabeth Peterson, Courtney Rod, Brian Ross, Jon Skinner, and William Szumski.
Students who filled sandbags were:
Josh Brockman, Matt Baker, Luke Ortegal, and Ryan Frye.
The Village of Seneca donated $1,000.00 to the school's Staff Scholarship Fund in honor of the students who helped.
